Sonoma County Historical Society Past Awards Winners
Since 1984, the Sonoma County Historical Society has honored individuals, organizations, and students whose work has made lasting contributions to the preservation and understanding of Sonoma County’s history. Over the past four decades, more than 250 awards have recognized achievements ranging from historic preservation and cemetery restoration to scholarly research, publications, educational programs, and community history projects. The Society’s awards are open to both members and non-members, with recipients selected through nomination and approval by the Board of Directors. The list below presents past award winners by year, reflecting the wide range of people and projects that have strengthened Sonoma County’s historical record.
